چکیده
Introduction. Schwannoma or neurilemmoma is a benign tumor of the nerve sheath originating from Schwann cells. Localization in abdominal wall rare. Schwannomas usually manifest themselves as slow-growing asymptomatic tumors. Symptomatology depends on location, involved and size tumor. Case report. We present 43-year-old female patient with schwannoma localized right hypochondriac region. Diagnostic procedures included ultra-sound color Doppler (US), high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), histopathological examinations (HP). US showed solid, well-circumscribed mass, whorled, echogenic internal architecture anterior wall. MRI revealed an oval, well-circumscribed, heterogeneous, 3 ? 2.5 centimeters large fusiform mass. T1- weighted presented low signal intensity, while T2- image heterogeneously high intensity. The lesion was completely removed. After pathohistological analysis standard immunohistochemical methods coloring, diagnosis confirmed. Conclusion. tumor, which often without clinical manifestations, may cause delay treatment. Clinical presentation indolent non-specific. Diagnosis this requires multidisciplinary interdisciplinary approach. MR useful highly specific method for verification peripheral A HP confirmed definitive lesion.

Abdominal Wall Schwannoma: Case Report and Review of the Literature
A 29-year-old female had presented to surgical outpatient's department complaining of lump in the anterior abdominal wall. Ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging revealed a solid degenerated tumor in the anterior abdominal wall. It was surgically excised, and histopathology confirmed it to be "ancient" schwannoma. To our knowledge, this is the second reported case of an abdominal wall ancien...
متن کاملMalignant Schwannoma of Anterior Abdominal Wall: Report of a Case
UNLABELLED Malignant schwannoma of the anterior abdominal wall nerves is extremely rare. Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors (MPNST) represent approximately 10% of all soft tissue sarcomas and it is found in 4% of patients with neurofibromatosis 1. We present a case of malignant schwannoma in a 28-year-old female patient with neurofibromatosis 1. She presented with a painful mass in the ri...
متن کاملAbdominal Wall Desmoid during Pregnancy: Diagnostic Challenges
Background. Desmoids are benign tumors, with local invasive features and no metastatic potential, which have rarely been described to be pregnancy associated. Case. We described the rapid growth of an anterior abdominal wall mass in a 40-year-old pregnant woman. Due to its close proximity to the enlarged uterus, it was misdiagnosed to be a uterine leiomyoma by ultrasound examination. Final tiss...

In numerous cases, the tumors are asymptomatic and are identified incidentally on physical examination or imaging. Occasionally, schwannoma is symptomatic due to comp...

ABSTRACT Carcinoma of the cervix is a common neoplasm and accounts for a considerable number of cervical diseases that lead to death in developing countries. In these countries early detection and improved methods of treatment have resulted in comparatively better control of the cancer and long survival however, invasive and metastatic disease still occurs. The authors present the case report ...
